Visuals are essential in successful branding, content creation, and marketing. In the design world, there are so many tools to choose from. It can be hard to decide which ones to try and even harder to know which ones are worth using regularly. So, I’ve put together a list of 8 insanely useful design tools you need to try today!

These tools will help you streamline your workflow and create beautiful designs faster than ever before. Keep reading for more information on these tools and how they can benefit your design process.

1. UIGradients

You can download free gradient backgrounds on UIGradients. Choose beautiful backgrounds for your interface or website on this website.

You can browse through the Collection and then go through each gradient background until you see the one you like. On the top, you can see the hex code of each color and then use them with your design tool, like Photoshop or Canva.

Otherwise, you can download the background as a JPEG file by clicking the downland button at the top.

2. SmartMockups — Create product mockups

This website will help you to create professional mockups, such as:

  • smartphone
  • mug
  • T-shirt
  • and more

On the left-hand side, you can filter by free mockups. Feel free to browse through the mockups to see which one you like. Click on the one you want if you use Canva, copy the size and then copy the image.

Canva will prompt you to get permission to access your SmartMockups account, so allow it. From here, click on save. Now that it’s saved, go back to SmartMockups, click on “upload from,” and go ahead and click on “Canva.”

The design you have just created is sitting in your SmartMockups account. Click that once, and now click on crop and continue. Instantly that image has directly been placed on that smartphone mockup. All you need to do now is click on “download” so you can use it on your website, social media, or wherever else you want.

3. Fonts In Use

Fonts In Use is the website you can see what fonts are in Use based on different companies and brands. If you ever wondered what the fonts are on particular logos. You can browse this website to find out what fonts were used by clicking on Topics.

You can go through Topics, or you can go to Formats or Typefaces. Feel free to go to Collection and find one from there based on some of these examples. The Fonts in Use gives you more inspiration and better ideas about fonts.

4. Coolors

Coolors is a free website that will allow you to generate color palettes for your brand or website. All you need to do is click on “start the generator.” Right away, you can choose the color combinations you can use or press the space bar.

If you don’t want to do it, you can click “Tools” and then “Explore Palettes.” Now you have the list of trending color palettes. You can use it as well as be able to see the actual demand and popularity of those color palettes.

5. Wordmark.it

This website will help you see what your Wordmark will look like based on the fonts currently installed on your computer. Enter your word or phrase, such as your business name or company name, and then click on “Go” to see what the text looks like with the fonts on your computer.

You can see different variations, and if there is something that you like, you can see what font to use. So rather than trying to figure out which font to use in Photoshop and then changing between different fonts, which can be a huge time waster, use Wordmark, enter that phrase in, and you can instantly see what it looks like.

6. unDraw

unDraw features free illustrations you can download based on the different subjects and industries. If you go to the very top, you can also change the color so that it will change to all illustrations.

Click on the one you like, and now you can download an SVG for your projects or a PNG for your blog or socials. There is a ton to choose from, and the best is that it is all for free for both commercial and noncommercial Use.

7. Flaticon

One of the best websites to download icons is Flaticon.com. They have many icons for Youtube and other social media platforms.

To find the desired icon, type the word in the search window, and you will find a massive library of icons taht you can use. They are all free to use for noncommercial and commercial purposes, but you must credit the website.

If you are looking for icons, this one is probably the best one to go to.

8. GoFullPage

Have you ever wanted to take a full-page screenshot? There is an extension that you can install — GoFullPage. Install the extension, and head to the website you want to take a full screenshot. Now click on the GoFullPage icon right there and let it do its job of capturing taht full page.

It takes a full page of any website in just a few seconds. You can download it as a PDF or as an image. This is going to save you lots of time.
